It is still illegal to steal from a house with an unlocked door.

The only questions are:
- if going through an unlocked door and breaking a window are the
   same or two different paragraphs in the criminal code
- if the fact that the door was unlocked can be used by the
   insurance company to reduce or entirely refuse claim
