There are still some tie-ins for DECdns around in a few dusty corners 
of DECnet Phase IV, too.

Elsewhere, all that got replaced by LDAP. Which is arguably only 
"lightweight" in comparision to its X.500 progenitor. But I digress.

Alas, OpenVMS completely missed out on incorporating LDAP in many 
places where it probably should have, but that addition would have been 
a larger project for less return.
