Well, they made it at least as far as what is now Minnesota on North
America.  That's 1400 miles overland.

The biggest thing I have gotten out of this thread is how close I live
to Jilly and we have never met.  I go, frequently to a Casino just up
the road from where he lives.  They have really good food. :-)
