But it does not fit with "economies of scale", which is another
fundamental concept.

Sometimes it can be an interesting thought to convert
an IT problem to a non-IT problem.

So if you like a specific Ford car and Ford stops production
of that car but releases the drawings what would you do:
A) hire a team to produce that car
B) hire a custom car shop to produce that car
C) switch to another car from GM/Toyota/Honda/Hyundai/whoever
