Here is another thought I had that hit a dead end because my arrangement of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" has vocal tags that sing along with the caller. I was going to rewrite the words to reflect a "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow", Leprechauns, etc. I was also going to have the "Leprechauns" Run, Star, Circle, etc. Maybe someone has another record arrangement that will work for them. They are listed in a nice table. I thought that it would be interesting if these numbers could be shown on a map. With the help of the GeoMap Google Visualization API , some PHP to screen scrape the pages to get the numbers, and quite a bit of Javascript (using the jQuery library to do the AJAX work), I came up with . The initial page shows the whole world. Clicking on the US will zoom in and the registration numbers by state will appear. By clicking the appropriate buttons, you can see the numbers for the 58th, 59th, and 60th conventions. You can also eliminate the "home state's" numbers. I've tested this page on Firefox3, MSIE7, and Chrome. It should work on most modern browsers that support Javascript. Comment are welcome. BTW, I will be at the convention in Long Beach, CA in June if you want to talk to me in person about this site...
