Well, at present I have taken the lead on this effort to try and
develop a dialogue with and between the HP OpenVMS Team as well as the
OpenVMS Community.

As such I would be happy to take suggestions and ideas from interested
parties.

As far as the issue of Orphaned Software I see this as being something
we need to address and work to develop a program to support these
products/utilities.

I am also working with people to try and develop frameworks which can
be used to assist in Open Source implementations on OpenVMS. These
best practices or frameworks or even tools to help the process are
important to making it possible for new applications to be ported to
OpenVMS as well as to port updated versions.

I look forward to hearing from interested and supportive members of
the news group.

Thanks,

Bill.
