[Info-vax] Indexed RMS file question

Thanks. It looks like I should probably use two keys, String1+String2 and
String1+String3, where String3 is the character string equivalent of the
integer low bound. Maybe only one key (String1+String2) and read through the
records in a loop to get the right integer range. FWIW, there are about
130,000 records total, and maybe a max of 300 records with the same String1
value but different integer range values. Most will be a dozen or so.

Sorry again, Hein as to my poor explanation. When I wrote "33-50", I really
meant two integers, 33 and 50, in different fields of a record, (sub)keys used
by the mythical, nonexistent RMS range searching feature, which would accept
an integer key which would be checked against the two fields, lower limit and
upper limit, and return the appropiate matching record. I did not mean the
text string "33-50".
