600 baud? I'm not sure that ANYTHING supports 600 baud. 300, 1200,
2400, 4800??, 9600, 19.2K, 38.4K, 56K etc. were, and probably still are,
supported. The only thing that 300, 600, or 1200 baud are good for
these days is to allow you to read it on your monitor as it comes in.
For 1200 baud you have to be a fast reader!
I still have an an RS232 modem but I don't recall using it for anything
since I got broadband cable seven or eight years ago.
