[Info-vax] Getting HEX file & normal file when SFTPing from openvms

While attempting to pull a single file from an OpenVMS server I'm
receiving 2 files in the form of operator.log and another in the form
of operator.log;1. The operator.log file comes across normal but the
operator.log file seems to contain HEX data. The pull operation is
being performed by a LogLogic network appliance, the rule below is
being performed from the network appliance.

SFTP-Transfer (protocol: sftp src: sftp -b batchfile(get -P '/SYS
$SYSDEVICE/LOGFILE_ARCHIVES/W5601D_OPERATOR_LOG_2009_09_05.LOG;1' /
loglogic/data/filecollector/collector/
31596282481082373.29729.1254906191)

I am trying to find a tcpip$ logical the turn logging on the VMS side
so I might capture the conversation between the 2 systems to determine
what's going on.

Help would be greatly appricated.
Thanks in advance.
