I think this may have been such some "philosophical" project at
Microsoft to see ik moving beyond 64 bits would be possible or not.

Basically, some study to "audit" Windows to see which areas might have
difficulty moving to 128 bits and which woudln't which may result in
coding standards that would elimitate (as much as possible) those code
snippets that woudl make it hard to move to 128 bits.
