Actually, IAS was a relative of RSX-11D, not M+. M+ came out of M...
And, yes, IAS support I/D Space.
It also supported a timesharing environment with a real scheduler that
understood timesharing requirement. IAS also support process control
operation and "real-time". But to be honest 11M, 11M+ and 11S all
supported "real-time" better than 11D.
Anyway, a bit of nostalgia. I did system programming on all of these
once upon a time.
