Custom can acquire the force of law!  And I notice that you posted your 
comments at the bottom rather than the top!

Bottom posting makes it a little easier to get some idea of the context, 
especially if you have not seen/read prior comments in the thread.

Top posting is usually the work of a complete newbie!
