I'll be happy to try to help.  But the symptoms you describe are confusing.

1.  Are you using TELNET, as I stated was necessary?  Using some other 
protocol _may_ not work correctly.

2.  Logging in to PROBLEMS (using Telnet) does not prompt for a password.

3.  Your account expired on 1 September 2009.  That might be a factor.

Because your account expired, you can renew by using Telnet to log in as 
REGISTRATION, and supply your DECUServe number.
