I have the older Apple (white) BT keyboard. It's on most of the time and
isn't too bad on the batteries (which are rechargeable AAs). The BT mouse
requires much more frequent replacement of the batteries (recharges) than
the keyboard. I believe this is due to its constant position polling. I
have 2 sets of rechargeable batteries which I've been swapping in and out
of the charger for several years. They still take and hold a charge. The
older white Apple BT keyboard is big and bulky though; it's not ideal for
travel. I do wish they'd produce a BT version of the new aluminium full-
keyboard.
