I assume, he's talking about RAID Array "cards" (not the old SDI disks)
Something like SA5302A or SA5304A or SA6402A or SA6404A
And the answer is probably some of the HP tools like ARGUS or OpenView
(with an agent for VMS like OVOAGENTS, SPI, OVPA) or SMH (HP SIM).
I never had an overview, because I use VMS to manage my VMS...
