Perhaps, the use of the term archives instead of tapes would be apropos?
Most (All?) of the VMS/L&T SIG "Tapes" are presently available on-line.
The need to reference any one type of media seems superfluous.

Glenn used to scour the net/usenet and collect things of interest which
he deemed should be included and archived on the tapes.  Is anyone doing
the same?
