[Info-vax] Simh Licensing question 3900 vs 780

I got Simh to boot a virtual 3900 on my Mac.
But I can't seem to get a VAX-VMS license loaded properly. Its SHOW
LIC/CHARGE doesn't seem to accept an "A" type of activity licence which
is what I have.
How easy is it to change the emulator to make VMS think it is a
different machine (like a 4000-600) ? is just a case of changing some
value in a .h file ? (from 119 to 456 (for a 4000-600 for instance).
I have 2 non expiring VAX-VMS and one VMS-USER (the later is the active
one on my remaining VAX).
And from a long term archival purpose where I might boot VMS once a
year, I'd like to use my perpetual licenses so that I don't have to
constantly deal with hobbyist licence renewalls.
If I use SIMH in a "780" mode instead of 3900, do I lose any
speed/functionality ? Am concerned about executables compiled for modern
vaxes. Would they still run without problem on an emulated 780 ?
This is the output of SHOW LIC/CHARGE
$ show lic/charge
