Like many others here, I don't believe that is true. I think if VMS
had been properly marketed and supported it could have maintained reasonable
marketshare. Could it have kept MS from becoming the power in the industry
that it is? No, but it didn't have to supplant MS to be a player in the
market sector where it plays best.
