I noticed it isn't an option for the latest version of the HP C compiler
on IA64. Not sure when or why they lost it. In node 273, Hoff says "on
the most recent C compilers, these reference libraries are not updated",
so I'd assume it affects Alpha, too (haven't paid attention to it).
