It is easier to work on a clean implementation that to work on implementations
that have many known problems because if the source structure.
I am sure you prefer to use your own shoes instead of trying to make other
peoples shoes fit to you.
BTW: why did people create GNU make and GNU tar although smake and star
did exist before?
