I used to spool between SunOS and HP-UX. There is an option
flag in the HP-UX spooler for bsd compatibility. Many others
have such flag, too.

My home net now spools through FreeBSD, with one printer on
W2K server. Windows and Linux systems spool either to the
FreeBSD server or W2K, some indirectly.

For W2K, the queue name is the first eight characters of the
windows printer name, which probably shouldn't have blanks
in it.
