As the person responsible for the decision it was based on what we
believed the use profile was likely to be and what we could adequately
test. We also wanted to block if from running over DECnet for a number
of reasons. So a test was inserted for Remote Terminals.
If you really need to run it over TCP/IP submit a formal problem
report. It should not be to hard to produce a test image for you to
try and if that works an official patch.
