Hm. Considering how fast Oracle made the deal when the IBM-SUN
negotiations did not succeed, then I will consider it likely
that Larry Ellison's desire to become as big as IBM and HP may
indeed have been a driver for the acquisition.

It was either SUN or Dell.
With SUN he got the Java stuff as icing on the cake.
