   This should work (without the MIME garbage that got meddled into your
   text.  But if the file is really stream-crlf it would be better to
   use the /ASCII switch on the scp command.

   Sorry I didn't notice that earlier, I wouldn't have bothered getting
   into the last byte used setting.
