How many systems are ALWAYS up???????

Even if you have electric power and air conditioning available at all 
times, there are things like hardware maintenance that usually require a 
shutdown.  Standalone backup will have the machine effectively down.

You can have applications always available but that's not quite the same 
as a system being ALWAYS up!
