[Info-vax] strange backup behavior

In your CHARON-VAX configuration file, are you using the Windows tape
driver (\\.\Tape0) or direct SCSI (\\scsi:x:y:z)?  Changing between the
two methods might make a different in your results.

CHARON-VAX emulates a TK-50 since that's the "lowest common denominator"
of all VAX systems, especially for old versions of VMS (4.x, 5.x).

CHARON-AXP actually reads the tape drive device string and passes it to
VMS, under the assumption that Alphas can directly handle modern tape
drive models.
