   That depends a lot on your C coding habits.  Ours were fairly
   compatable with DEC C.  But you could get away with a lot of things
   in VAX C that DEC C wouldn't accept.

   Macro-32 was a lot like that.  You can do a lot of things that
   won't pass through the compiler on Alpha, but our coding habits
   didn't.
