   VAX/VMS?  Newbie.  When I learned, "VAX" was allways followed by
   "-11".  As in VAX-11/780, VAX-11/VMS, VAX-11 Fortran, ...

   When DEC instroduced the 8000 series, it was just plain weird hearing
   "VAX 8...", instead of "VAX-11".
