Be prepared for some heavy stuff.
Previous (2007) TeXLive distros came on doublesided (!) DVDs and
contained binaries for a couple of Unices and others (DEC OSs
not among them). Even pure installation can be a challenge when
your target system does not quite match the requirements,
let alone recreation from scratch.
