[Info-vax] up-to-date version of LaTeX on VMS

well, i started on vax 11/780 galway number 7[*], and the last vms
machine i used was an alpha that was bigger than all 4 pcs i have in
my office.

but my house is *very* cramped ...

indeed ;-)

[*] i "managed"[**] the software department at the time, and i wrote a
justification for the purchase that the managing director thought was
excellent, and i thought was deeply dubious.  the technical director
couldn't understand how i could possibly justify 256 kb (i think it
was) given that we had 128 kb on the pdp-11 and the vax used virtual
memory.  we actually purchased (wait for it...) 768 kb!!!

[**] insofar as it was managed at all...
