I'm still checking on what GTK is used for the SWB.

As for the OpenSSL comments, the engineer confirmed your observations about 
our current kit being old.  We have a 0.9.8h kit that you can field test 
(email me contact information).  Apparently, some of our changes conflicted 
with some of the newest changes and we've had to re-implement them.
