Although the world economic situation is not too good, decisively
shanghai stock exchange is going to rollout their next generation
trading system sometime next year. Hopefully this news can uplift  a
bit the moods in this group. The new system will be running on OpenVMS/
itanium platform to replace hp-ux. After that I suspect there will be
a wave to develop new systems based on OpenVMS by China's security
brokers, investment banks, mutual funds, pension funds companies to
provide a stable and secure trading environment. OpenVMS is very
promising in China now, so start learning chinese today :) Also as the
world's financial centre is moving to Shanghai from big apple, we will
see more and more high paid OpenVMS related position open.
