Hi,

Ian Miller chided somewhere else: -
> There was a mention in cov of this stock exchange which
> was greeted with the usual lack of response that good news
> gets there. I did not know about the steel mill. That\'s good news too.

Yes it's all great news, but how new is it? Does anyone have any links to
the announcement? I've looked at the SSE website and couldn't see anything
under infrastructure and trading-system links about VMS. If I have gotten
this new announcement mixed up with an older success story then I do
appologize for not singing its praises but: -

http://www.openvms.org/stories.php?story=04/11/10/7550767
Seems to make it look old and a bit strange how the blog writer can be
(deservedly so IMO) slagging of Arthur Anderson in one breath yet singing
Accenture's praises in the next?

Then there's this: -
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.os.vms/browse_frm/thread/a483e3676a8eaf3e/060061603e055ca9?lnk=gst&q=shanghai+maher#060061603e055ca9

Where I was corrected by Dr. Dweeb: -
"Shanghai is based on the Deautsche Börse/Swiss Stock
Exchange software, not OM."

And I thought I heard about it much earlier, perhaps at a Rdb tech forum in
2005/6?

Yes it *is* great news! Anyone got a link to a well-written article on this
with some background?

Couldn't find a date on this: -
http://deutsche-boerse.com/dbag/dispatch/de/listcontent/gdb_navigation/investor_relations/Content_Files/13_press/pm_news_shanghai_101104.htm

This also talks about wins at Singapore stock echange and Thailand futures
exchange: -

What happend when?

Cheers Richard Maher
