Hi all,
I need a simply system to share some files between pc's and alpha.
Many years ago with pathworks and Lan Manager was easy.
Years ago was fine with Advanced Server though many features were not
needed.
Actually I was using an old samba version, prior to 3.0, with no
problems until Vista arrived.
I'm trying with CIFS 1.1 and after many hours I can't connect from an
Xp system to the alpha share. Just so. I don't need nothing else, so
the question is, is there any simple system to share files between
theses two systems? No printers, no domain controllers, just share
files?
There are no problems with security, no users, guest access should be
enough...just an easy system.
TIA
Carlos Fernandez

An easy solution should be erase Vista and go with XP but I will have
to deal with this one in a near future.
