Who here does any of those except for "CD"? I use TO, DIR, and DEL.
I have never done that and consider

I only do that for home-brewed command procedures with really long
names.
Example:
ENS == "EXTRACT-NODE-STARTUP.COM"
Otherwise, I use the first few letters if possible.
So Bill, what would you do on a Stratus system running VOS?
