Can you type

 $ SET DISPLAY/CREATE/NODE=mynode/TRANSPORT=TCPIP ?

That's all it takes, at least for the original, non-Java,
management interface.

Plus a VMS node that is not in the cluster.

In my situation, I still do not use my Linux workstation
for AMDS - I use a VAXstation in another office = because
I can't figure out how to blast thru Linux security.

This helps not the least:

 bash$ xhost +amds00.mayo.edu
 amds00.mayo.edu being added to access control list
 bash$
 bash$ xhost
 access control enabled, only authorized clients can connect
 INET:amds00.mayo.edu

And I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get
past files (in Debian 'Etch') like this one:

 root# cat /etc/pam.d/xdm

 # $Id: xdm.pam 1325 2004-04-28 08:41:01Z branden $

 @include common-auth
 @include common-account
 @include common-session
 @include common-password

 auth            requisite       pam_nologin.so
 auth            required        pam_env.so
 session         required        pam_limits.so

Nor do I understand why a hear a voice in my head saying,
"We are Linux. All your computer are belong to us." whenever
I try to make a VMS -> Linux X connection.
