Doesn't look like you got a reply here, so let me take a whack at it...

"Pizza box" can have multiple meanings. For example, to me it implies a
BA353 which accepts the -VA variants of the StorageWorks SBBs. In that
case, you'd have to make sure that the "brick" does not contain a disk
which is hard-strapped to a specific SCSI Id. (I've had to do that for
drives which do not accommodate the ID select / LED ribbon cable
connector.)

I cannot speak to other variations on a "pizza box" as I have never seen
or worked with them.
