You've not specified clearly whether it's the VAX emulation or Alpha?
If it's VAX, you'll be at V7.1 (there wasn't a 7.1-1hx for VAX) and
there isn't a 7.3-x for VAX, only 7.3.
This post suggests Alpha, your later one suggests VAX.
On the upside, provided you remember your patches, you should be ok in
my experience. A complete backup beforehand never hurts though!
