By "ACME", you mean the now standard user authentication routines on VMS
which do the intrusion detection and proper logging which both services
lacked ?

Did they provide a time estimate for when this security "patch" would be
delivered ?


Out of curiosity, could they release a version (8.4 as an example)
 that has support for yet-unreleased chip (Tukwila for example) ? I
assume that HP has had samples to play with and test for a while now.

Just wondering if they couldn't just release 8.4 with the Tyuwila
support already in it so that it can run out fo the box when Tukwila
actually comes out ?  Or Is TRukwila still at a stage where many changes
could still happen to how an OS interfaces to it ?
