I saw one of those transceivers at a flea market just recently.  Yes,
this was related
to vintage.org.  We haven't had an event out here in the SF bay area
for a couple years
but other regions seem to be going strong.  These things are a real
hoot to attend.

You might try hooking up with the classiccmp.org mailing list to find
people near you
with what you are looking for.  I wonder if that fat cable we had
installed in 45 Fremont
Street is still there?
