Certification is what you make of it. Some organizations are starting
to look for it it while others do not care. Moving forward I believe
more companies and clients will ask for it as a segment of their due
diligence on an employee or a contractor. This will be more and more
true as the older individuals in the OpenVMS Community fade from the
scene.

There are also requirements with certain classes of HP Partners
requiring certification of their staff to be able to provide certain
services and still claim to be a Partner.

As far as the cost there is not much we can do about that. HP has not
offered us a packet of coupons. Connect has to buy the testing
coupons just like anyone else. That is a difference based upon the
host of the event - and given that the event would not happen if
Connect had not come forward ...

We look forward to involvement and support from all members of the
OpenVMS Community. If you can please take the Session Interest Survey
and we would really like to see you at the Boot Camp in September.

Bill.
