My wife and I took a bus from Sterling, Scotland back to the Castle we
stayed in in Airth Scotland. Two women and one man were on the bus as
wall as us. I *know* they were speaking English but only one in every
five words was intelligible to us. ;) Edinborough wasn't all that bad
but as we migrated west toward Glasgow, the accent became significantly
more pronounced making it difficult to understand. I know a guitarist
in a band based in NY who hails from Glasgow. A wonderful guy but I'm
still not able to understand much of what he says.
