It seems to me that, whatever you do, the freight forwarder is liable 
for the costs.

I saw such a thing built for a Mac.  It worked.  On the other hand, 
airflow is often quite critical.  Some advise to not even power up a 
machine, even for a couple of minutes, if any part of it is open since 
this affects the airflow.

There is also a PC somewhere in an aquarium filled with salad oil.  It 
works and is very quiet.
