telephone company and cable company.

And consider that telephone companies now also depend on TV
distribution.  So they are all the same now, and won't want the internet
to cannabalise their TV distribution revenues. Shutting out competitors
will allow this duopoly to cripple internet services to allow people to
access faceboot and youtube, but make it very expensive to get netflix
and google TV.

And when a cable/telco also owns TV network(s), they can also prevent
access to outfits such as Google TV.
