Well, it is, at least for someone who's used to VMS as a workstation system.
Given the average age in this NG that can't be that few.

As long as I read this NG there's permament whining about
the lack of VMS marketing.

Just think what impression the following hypothetical
car marketing campaign would make:

"We, the largest Volvo dealer in the city of $BIGTOWN_IN_SWEDEN
are pleased to announce great new features for the best car on the world.
Feel free to visit us and pickup the fancy new brochure.
But please don't come with a Volvo, our streets, parking lots
and gas stations don't support Volvo. You'd have to come with
a BMW, that's all we support. And don't come with a Mercedes or
VW, we don't support these either"

Me: But I'd expect the best car on the world to drive at least
some roads, I mean, that's what a car is for, isn't it?

Volvo dealer: No,no, Volvo's aren't meant to drive on roads,
they are just meant for the back yard. You could happily
drive a few meters forth and back, but that's it.
They're "server cars" only, you know.

Me: I think I will stay with BMWs. Good luck selling your Volvo's.
