There is a difference between a car (your analog to Windows, or Volvo)
and a 42 tonne truck (analog: VMS, or Volvo). If you were to go to
your BMW car dealer for a 42 tonne truck it would be a short
conversation, although Volvo (or Mercedes) would both have products
that would fit both categories. Not via the same dealer or support
network though. One size generally does not fit all, except,
obviously, in those parts of the IT industry where one size does
allegedly fit all and IT folk go to their certified-Microsoft-
dependent business partner whatever the IT requirement.
