>From your problem description I couldn't figure out whether you'd
configured XDM.
In the XDM directory (which is IIRC sys$specific:[tcpip$xdm]) reside a
couple of template files.
Rename them to .txt. One of them needs an entry changed that allows
what clients may use this server.
ACCESS.TXT is the file that needs a modification, the help is inside
that file.
My current employer disallows telnet and ssh so I can't "get out" to
my own systems.
