Astounding indeed, but the TouchPad is already in trouble:

http://www.channelregister.co.uk/2011/08/17/hp_touchpads_best_buy/

"Crates of HP fondleslabs are mounting up stateside at Best Buy as it
emerged the retailer has shifted less than one-tenth of its 270,000
strong unit order.

...

Other US retailers including Wal-Mart, Micro Center and Fry's
Electronics are also facing the same dilemma, despite a series of
price cuts."

"Hewlett-Packard to Buy Autonomy for $10.3 Billion, Weighs PC Unit
Spinoff

Autonomy, based in Cambridge, England, gives Hewlett- Packard software
that searches a broad range of data, including e-mails, music, video and
posts on social networks such as Facebook Inc."

Hmm maybe they could do something about the new HP Forums ;-)

Ah, more interesting:

"Autonomy, the second-largest U.K. software maker, offers programs used
in database search. The company¹s customers include Coca-Cola Co. (KO),
Nestle SA (NESN) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission."

That does look like a move back to the Enterprise.

An analysis ont The Register:
