My interpretation was for the Digital/Intel patent agreement, there was no
agreement or discussion for moving Tru64 to IA64. Why would there be?
Digital was still doing Alpha. It only got rid of its fabs, not the
product. Any discussion of porting Tru64 and OpenVMS to IA64 came with the
Compaq/Intel agreement.
