Read in the Colorado Springs Gazette yesterday that HP is planning on
tearing down the old CX01/CX02 buildings next year.

I remember my first day at DEC, where I had to walk from one end of CX01 to
the far end of CX02. Past rooms full of RP05 and RP06 drives burning in,
the RL01/RL02 line, the storage engineering geeks with walls full of PDP-8
systems running CAD applications, then finally to the TSC where I was to be
working, supporting RSX on PDP-11 systems.

I remember in the main plant lobby of CX01, there was a beautiful RL01 drive
made of cherry wood. That thing was a work of art.

What a shame that such a great company came to this.
